At the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Summer Youth Camp, we took a purposeful step back to the basics—cursive writing. While modern technology has reduced the need for handwritten communication, we emphasized that cursive still holds value, especially when it comes to formal documents and personal correspondence.
We were intentional in helping our youth campers strengthen their penmanship skills, and they learned how cursive writing can improve fine motor development, increase writing speed, and enhance retention of information.
It was a meaningful and productive day of learning and growth. At PCSO, we remain Community Focused.
